Hon. Tom Lindsey

(November 9, 2023 – present)

On October 3, 2023, the Honourable Tom Lindsey was elected to a third term of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, representing the Flin Flon constituency, which includes 15 northern communities including many Indigenous and remote communities.

On November 9, 2023, the Honourable Tom Lindsey was elected by his fellow MLAs to serve as the  Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba.

He is currently the Chair of the Legislative Assembly Management Commission.

Prior to serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, Speaker Lindsey worked in the mining industry and proudly represented working people through his 30+ years as a USW Labour Representative.

Speaker Lindsey is the 31st Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba.
