Alfred Hole Visitor Centre
When four orphaned goslings made their way into Alf Hole's life in 1939, the sanctuary's roots were established. Today, Alf's legacy is enjoyed by many park visitors.
Inside the Visitor Centre, displays present the history of the sanctuary, the biology of Canada geese and plenty of opportunities to view wildlife up-close. Park Interpreters offer scheduled programs, activities and park information from spring to fall. Check the Whiteshell Events Calendar for upcoming interpretive programs.
Be sure to bring a pair of binoculars and hike along the 2.5 km self-guiding trail to reveal life around the Goose Pond, or simply relax and take in the sights and sounds from our viewing area. Be sure to stop by the Whiteshell Trapper's Museum located at the sanctuary to discover the evolution of trapping in Manitoba.
