WRAP Act
The Waste Reduction and Prevention (WRAP) Act enables the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to designate materials with the potential to become waste and develop regulatory requirements that support the reduction and prevention of waste in the province. A variety of economic instruments and producer responsibility requirements can be established under the Act, including: product levies, dedicated industry funds, container deposits, and return to retail requirements.
