Manitoba’s Recreational Angling Strategy
Manitoba’s Recreational Angling Strategy was released on May 26, 2021 and includes a suite of proposed angling regulation changes that will increase angling opportunities and enhance Manitoba’s valuable fish populations.
Engagement of Manitoba’s Recreational Angling Strategy ran from May 26 to June 30, 2021. A What We Heard report was released on November 1, 2021 and outlines a number of modifications to the Strategy to address feedback received during engagement.
The proposed implementation date for changes is April 1, 2023 subject to federal and provincial regulatory amendment processes which are currently underway.
